I like the lighting in the first photo. Something about the light and shadow makes it somewhat somber. This second photo happened by accident. It's a shot of a roof window taken during the day in natural light in my living room, and the ceiling is in fact painted white. I think it's neat. I altered it a little bit more in Photoshop, and this image can be seen on Fotothing.

Photography literally means "writing", (graphis) with light..(photo). Learning to see as the camera sees light is what it is all about.
